VW MK4 Pendulum Mount -: The VW factory rear engine mount was designed as a soft mount flexible mount , to provide a very comfortable drive. It's drawback was large amount of engine movement it allowed under torque load on hard acceleration. Engine movement of decreases stability under high performance driving conditions gear selection. VF-Engineering will guarantee you will feel difference when using th mount. To reduce th movement VF-Engineering made a complete replacement billet mount fitted with molded , high durometer polyurethane inserts. The mount constructed from billet aluminum supplied with high tensile hardware. Which means stock mount will snap before Z-Eng mount even bends. Fitting should take no more than 20 minutes maximum fits all VAG Type 4 Chass : Golf/Jetta 4 , Beetle , Bora , Audi A3 , Audi TT. Th high performance mount has been tested on a supercharged MK4 VR6 with 280hp provides a dramatic difference in stability of car when accelerating braking hard. The effect far greater than you get by just changing your bush inserts. Made from billet aluminum , under severest conditions th mount will bend whilst OE mount will snap. Gear changing under hard acceleration also greatly enhanced. It makes a terrific difference on 1.8T giving you much greater control over drifting wheel spin reduction for dragging. Th mount not recommended for MK4 vehicles equipped with an automatic transm sion due to highly increased vibration within cabin during stops while transm sion in Drive. Th may be solved by putting your transm sion to Neutral during stops. If you have an automatic MK4 willing to sacrifice a bit of comfort for performance gains , th might be something to consider. VF-Engineers chose to redesign th mount by swapping purpose of bushes to use polyurethane instead of rubber. The new design setup for thicker bush to absorb load on acceleration - point under which mount subject to maximum stress. Making it more effective. VF-Engineering designed tooled up manufactured a complete new replacement containing a molded , high durometer polyurethane insert. The VW factory mount hydraulic constructed from rubber vulcanized onto a steel plate. The rubber cavity contains a v cous oil which dampens shock vibration loaded onto mount via transm sion. Typically over a period of time failure occurs when rubber cracks leaking out oil. VF-Engineers chose to redesign th mount by eliminating oil designing mount using a single piece of polyurethane instead of rubber. The new design setup for longevity stability. VF-Engineering designed tooled up manufactured a complete new replacement containing a molded , high durometer polyurethane insert. Would I recommend it? Off course I already do recommend it to o rs that have seen my car in action. How hard do I push it? Well let's just say I have 274 ft.lbs of torque at 3000 rpms at wheels along with 250 hp at wheels a lot of nitrous. Your mount awesome.
