- By placing intake at fur st practical point from heat of engine our intake gains about 3-5 2-3 foot-lbs of torque depending upon ambient air. Location extremely important. Our intake located directly alongside battery just behind cold air intake. It does not extend down into lower bumper area thus reducing chance of taking in water when driving in rain or through puddles.
- Each intake comes with a composite heat shield that seals cold air intake area from engine heat. Composite has been chosen instead of metal to better insulate cold air intake compartment from engine heat. Metal an ideal conductor of heat.
- Large size induction pipe of 76 mm to match mass air flow sensor diameter. Some competing units use smaller tubing because it easier work with. Freedom Design uses correct larger size pipe to maximize intake charge into engine for maximum horsepower gain. A little more work but best results.
