VW EIP Tuning Solid Front Engine Mount: EIP designed developed th motor mount over three years ago for racing street applications. Th solid front motor mount designed for Corrado G-60 , Golf II , Jetta II , it eliminates problematic factory motor mount superior to o r aftermarket mounts. Very streetable , very minimal vibration.
VW VF-Engineering Mk3 VW Front Engine Mount: The VW factory rear engine mount was designed as a soft mount flexible mount , to provide a very comfortable drive. It's drawback was large amount of engine movement allowed under torque load on hard acceleration. Th engine "slop" greatly decreases stability smoothness under high performance driving conditions rapid gear selection. The VW factory mount constructed from 1 thin (rubber) bush 1 thicker (rubber) bush. The thick bush designed to compress on deceleration. The thin bush designed to compress on acceleration. VF-Engineers chose to redesign th mount by swapping purpose of bushes to use polyurethane instead of rubber. The new design setup for thicker bush to absorb load on acceleration - point under which mount subject to maximum stress. Making it more effective. VF-Engineering designed tooled up manufactured a complete new replacement containing a molded , high durometer polyurethane insert. The mount constructed from billet aluminum supplied with highest tensile hardware available. Fitting should take no more than 20 minutes fits all MK3 Golf , Jetta , Passat , Vento VR6 8V GTIs Corrado VR6. Th high performance mount has been tested on a 3.2 VR6 supercharged MK3 VR6 with an all Quaiffe gearset running 270hp provides a dramatic difference in stability of car when accelerating braking hard. Gear changing under hard acceleration also greatly enhanced. You will notice difference. Typically over a period of time failure occurs when rubber cracks leaking out oil. VF-Engineers chose to redesign th mount by eliminating oil designing mount using a single piece of polyurethane instead of rubber. The new design setup for longevity stability. VF-Engineering designed tooled up manufactured a complete new replacement containing a molded , high durometer polyurethane insert. The mount constructed from billet aluminum supplied with highest tensile hardware available.
